Visit from The Police
We recently had the Police visit us at the nursery, as part of our theme for this term which is ‘people who help us’.
The children got really excited, trying on the police clothing and hats. The police encouraged lots of communication from the children and when asking the children what their job was, one child said “to get the bad guys!”
The police talked about the equipment they use and encouraged the children to handle the badges and walkie talkies. Some put the jackets on, saying how heavy they were.
The officers also showed the children the police car and let them put on the sirens! The children really loved this and enjoyed the whole experience.
