World Book Day is a celebration! It’s a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading!
Pupils and staff had lots of fun when we celebrated World Book Day.
Lots of the children came into nursery dressed up as their favourite book character. The children enjoyed telling us all about their characters and why they are their favourite. The children shared their favourite books with everyone throughout the day.
Enjoying books and reading stories from a very early age is crucial in the development of children. It helps with their ability to understand words, use their imagination and develop their speech, as well as being something they really enjoy.
